- Rolling in Thyme & Dough: Cozy bakery and cafe serving freshly baked pastries, sandwiches, and soups. A great spot to have a slow and relaxing morning.

- British Baking Co.: Traditional British baked goods crafted with care. Try their jalapeño sausage roll for a Texas twist on a British classic!

- Desert Door Distillery: Go on a short, scenic drive for a truly unique Texas cocktail experience. Try the delicious but potent Sotol spirits and cocktails, made from Dasylirion or the "Desert Spoon" plant.

Vineyards

- Bell Springs Winery & Graveyard Vineyards: You don't have to go more than 10 miles to sample local favorites amidst scenic vineyards.

- Hilmy Cellars: Head 45 minutes west to the heart of Texas Wine Country, and enjoy Denise's favorite winery, Hilmy Cellars, in a charming Hill Country setting. This is a great little stop-off if you are heading to Fredericksburg for a day-trip!

- Fredericksburg: Explore world-famous wineries in the nearby German town. Eat at the famous Altstadt Brewery, if you can snag a table!
